Welcome To Pink Pig
In the beginning, on a grey morning the question was asked. If we were to sell our images what would we call ourselves? Many ideas were banded about between our work colleagues but nothing seemed quite right. Then while looking for mount board a small stamp of a little pig was spied along with a pink ink pad and PINK PIG was born, our minds went into overdrive and have not stopped since.
We (Helen – Mother & Rachel – Daughter) have studied for two years at night class to pass our N.C.F.E levels one and two in Photography (Thank you John & Denis) and have spent many happy hours in each others company doing what we love in our beautiful county of North Yorkshire.
Where to start in this joint venture was another matter but things soon started to fall into place. Our first public appearance was in Aspire in Thirsk and we felt very proud to see our work hung on the walls. Many discussions followed with many decisions taken at Brimham Rocks when the light was too bad even to get the cameras out. Business cards were printed, a stall booked at a local craft fair, flyers designed and suppliers sourced. The website was the next thing on the agenda and as you can see is up and running thanks to Rachel’s long hours and hard work.
As our confidence grows along with the Pink Pig website we hope to bring you some more enjoyable and interesting images.
